Fancy dining somewhere a little different? Standing in the shadow of Cardiff’s prison, The Clink (pictured) doesn’t have the most glamorous location, but the food – prepared by prisoners studying for catering qualifications as part of a charity enterprise – is truly delicious. Or, if you’re after a Sunday roast, head to local favourite The Potted Pig where they serve plenty of Welsh specialities, including Cwm Ciddy Farm beef topside for the meateaters and Glamorgan sausage for the veggies.
Don’t miss: Venture out of the city centre to Pontcanna, where the brilliant Milkwood bistro will reward you with a seasonal menu stuffed with local ingredients.
